Learning Centre Class Information
In Maths, we have been focusing on time and investigating analogue and digital time as well as 12 and 24 hour notation. We have also been working on recognising our changing seasons and are looking forward to welcoming Spring with lots of fun activities!
In the Learning Centre we have enjoyed learning about Scotland. We have explored Scottish music and poetry and have learned lots of fascinating facts. One of our amazing children already knew that ‘Caledonia’ was the Roman word for Scotland. He thoroughly enjoyed ‘teaching’ the class all he knew!
We are now moving on to learning all about Our World. The children have demonstrated an interest to learn about a variety of countries across the world, their cultures and for example, traditional foods and currency. As part of this, we will be celebrating differences and investigating issues which may occur in society including racism and discrimination.
