In P6/5 the children have enjoyed exploring some well loved Scot’s words and created some lovely tartan “Pop Art” style artwork for display. They learned some Scot’s and Burn’s poetry which was performed in Morar Lodge Care Home and at our Scot’s X-Factor.
In Maths they are working hard on perfecting their times tables both in class and at home. We are also going to be delving into decimals and fractions in the coming weeks!
Our Interdisciplinary Learning is Social Justice. The children will be exploring world religions and the similarities and differences amongst them. They will then investigate prejudice and discrimination related to issues within our society and local community, for example, racism, sexism, ageism, LGBTQ and poverty, focusing on an area of their choice to learn more about the support that is in place in order to share awareness.
